Big jump in Christchurch asbestos exposure complaints

Worksafe has confirmed it is investigating four cases involving asbestos exposure associated with the rebuilding of Christchurch. It has raised concerns that companies in the city are still demolishing buildings without checking for asbestos. David Beck is a Christchurch lawer who is representing clients who say they were exposed to asbestos. Alistair Humphrey is the Canterbury District Health Board's Medical Officer of Health.
