One In Five for Sunday 21 September 2008

Quebec city. It's a choice spot for Rehabilitation International - or RI as many now prefer to call it - to hold its 21st world congress. But the festivities aren't front of mind for most of the nearly nine hundred delegates who're attending. Coming from all parts of the globe, they're focused on what direction RI should take in the second decade of the 21st century. To give more attention to rights and inclusion - heralded by the coming into force of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Or stick to RI's tried and true identity as an umbrella group for rehabilitation services - things like physiotherapy, artificial limbs and training for jobs.
