Bridget Kendall, MBE, is a diplomatic correspondent for the BBC and hosts The Forum on the BBC World Service, discussing and challenging big ideas. She was the BBC's Moscow correspondent from 1989 to 1995, and Washington correspondent from 1994 to 1998, and hosted the flagship interactive programme Have Your Say. On Saturday 10 October from 11am she is recording a programme for The Forum at Te Papa in Wellington, in association with Radio New Zealand.

Tim O'Brien is an American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, bouzouki, mandola), who works in the bluegrass, country and folk genres. His albums include Fiddler's Green, which won the 2006 Grammy for Best Traditional Folk album, and his new collaboration with guitarist Gerry Paul and bassist Trevor Hutchinson: Two Oceans Trio. Mike Whittaker, director of research, design and development company EAFW Ltd, was the creator of the Scary Washing Machine phenomenon on TradeMe. He and his wife Zana were taking their postponed honeymoon at Lalumanu Beach in Samoa when the tsunami hit the island.
