Dr David Carlson is director of the World Climate Research Programme in Geneva, and an oceanographer who researches climate predictability and human impact on future climate.
He will visit New Zealand to speak at World Science Week New Zealand, an interrelated series of international science summits in Auckland from 25 August to 3 September.
He talks with Kim Hill.
