Cheryl Sucher is a writer, broadcaster and commentator who recently left the Hawke’s Bay to return home to the US. She and her husband and their dog drove from Los Angeles to New Jersey, crossing many of the southern states and taking the political temperature of people they met along the way.
Cheryl Sucher is the author of the novel The Rescue of Memory and her short stories and essays have appeared in a number of publications. Her essay, 'The Last Happy Days of Her Life' is included in the recent New York Times bestselling anthology What My Mother Gave Me.
