Cholmondeley CookPat feeds children and staff three times a day. Her old farmhouse-style kitchen is the heart of Cholmondeley Childrens Home in Governors Bay. Pat has a long history of institutional cooking and is very resourceful when it comes to food donations. Much of her time is spent gathering goods from around the city of Christchurch. Children often help out in the kitchen, and are rewarded in Tim Tams and ice cream. But equally they are bought to the kitchen for Pat to deal with when things go wrong. Pat is typical of the staff at this long established children's home; if it was all for the money, they'd be long gone.
