The UK General Election takes place on Thursday June 8. In April British PM Theresa May's Conservatives were up by as much as 21 percent in the polls - but that gap has tightened dramatically. Senior media lecturer at Victoria University in Wellington, Peter Thompson, discusses the key issues in May’s campaign with Professor Geoffrey Craig from AUT, author of Performing Politics.

Almost 5 million people marched in 80 countries and Pooley, Annie Goldson and Kate Stevenson are collating their stories for the film Why We March.

Richard Goldstein went out on a limb when he reviewed the Beatles’ Sgt Pepper in the New York Times in 1967 - describing Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, for example, as “an engaging curio, but nothing more ...drenched in reverb, echo and other studio distortions”. But that review got his name in lights and he’s gone on to have a great writing career, including becoming a strong advocate for LGBTI rights.
