The lawyer representing Maori living south of Whangarei Harbour says there could be a drop in the number of houses planned for land which used to be owned by a local hapu. The Te Tai Tokerau MP says the Internet Mana leader Hone Harawira should accept the results of the recount and move on. The Salvation Army says young Maori are most at risk from government cuts in employment programmes. Te Tumu Paeroa is working at trying to make the land it administers more productive.
