National Maori Council says regional council practising racism

From Te Manu Korihi, 5:53 pm on 13 October 2014

The New Zealand Maori Council says the Bay of Plenty Regional Council is practising institutional racism by not listening to a hapu from Motiti Island. The hapu trust claims the regional council has been spelling the island's name wrong and it is demanding it be changed. But the council says it will only change the name if there is agreement about that on the island. From Te Manu Korihi, Natalie Mankelow reports.
