The Wanganui District Council has today closed its public consultation process for people to have their say on the spelling of the district's name; The board representing Maori in Auckland is questioning the legality of the sale by the council of a prime piece of downtown land; The national musuem, Te Papa Tongarewa, says it expects the number of Treaty claims for cultural redress that involve the whare taonga to increase over the next few years; A radio station has used its parliamentary submission on the future of the Maori language to demand Crown funding for its operation - arguing development of Te Reo is at the heart of its work; People wanting to start learning Te Reo Maori can now access a free app developed by the Victoria University of Wellington.
