Te Manu Korihi for 3 June 2014

From Te Manu Korihi, 8:48 am on 3 June 2014

Iwi leaders have been challenged to pay more attention to getting their people up to speed on money matters; The central North Island tribe, Tuwharetoa, says it's owed 1 point 75 billion dollars by power firms, which failed to pay for the use of Lake Taupo; A Te Rarawa man acknowledged on the Queen's birthday honours list says his award is not really about him, but rather an accolade to his tupuna who nurtured him to carry on their work; Maori politicians have been assured that sub-tribes of the Northland iwi Ngapuhi won't be locked out of discussions on their specific interests.
