The Music Mix Americana Special

In the show this week we start in Memphis where Chris Isaak squeezed his long-time band into Sun Studio to record an album of his favourite classic tunes by legends such as Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. We hear from blues-man Black Joe Lewis ruminating on the gentrification of his hometown of Austin, Texas, a settlement renowned for its pulsating live music scene. And we hear a couple of tunes from Bernie Griffin and Grifters who seduced our Music Mix presenter under the stars, round a camp fire, with a jangling banjo, a mandolin, two guitars and a fiddle.

But before we get into that check out this brand new clip directed by a champion of most things American Paul Taylor....

...and if you liked that here's a very new Bernie Griffin And The Grifters tune which has also been given the treatment by film maker Paul Taylor who shot this clip as the boys were recording...
