Long-time Oasis fan Sam Wicks collared Noel Gallagher in the flesh at the final Big Day Out. Wick’s attended the eventful Oasis show in Wellington in ’98 which included a fight onstage. “I remember on that tour of Australia and New Zealand it was a disaster from start to finish” says Gallagher. Of the altercation in the capital that resulted in the band leaving the stage for 15 minutes Gallagher reflects. “I don’t remember any of this, this is scary man. Wow that’s amazing, I have no recollection of that at all! The tour itself was one of the best experiences of my life. We were the biggest band in the world.”
