Topics - the Institute for Economics and Peace report which we discussed the other day, shows the world is becoming less and less peaceful, and that tide turned in 2007 at the time of the Global Financial Collapse. The study takes into account 22 indicators, including the number of murders, people in jail, access to weapons, violent crime and military expenditure. TVNZ has apologised for a condom advertisement running on TV1 during the airing of the Louise Nicholas story on TVONE on Sunday night. Not just a condom ad apparently but a commercial extolling the delights of its use. Property values in Auckland are up 33 per cent since 2011. The largest movements are in suburbs close to town. Rates won't suddenly shoot up. A property revaluation determines a share of rates. Although in the end the rates will reflect value.
