Trouble in schools

New figures from the Education ministry show teachers are having to physically restrain children from hurting themselves or others 130 times a month. More than half of the cases involved children with behavourial issues. Those in the industry say that's understating the problem. It comes as another prominent school principal calls out the growing expectations being placed on teachers to give social guidance as well as educational. Otago Boys' High School rector Richard Hall tells us some of the issues he and his staff are encountering.
