The Panel crosses to Queensland to learn about one example of a near ban on police pursuits and how it worked. Ian Leavers is chief executive and president of the Queensland Police Union. He's seen how a significant reduction on police pursuits has worked in his state and has some reservations. Gisborne Civil Defence is on Standby with Cyclone Hola expected to hit overnight. Commission for Financial Capability has a 10million dollar programme Sorted for Schools which will see NCEA students taught financial and budgetting skills to avoid getting into debt. Work to pedestrianise the summit of One Tree Hill in Auckland is set to begin.
