I just missed the start of the discussion about birds singing. I just wanted to share with you that whether or not my father used to carry out certain activities on our dairy farm was determined by the singing of the grey warbler. If you heard it sing, it would rain within 1-2 days. It's a tiny bird and you rarely see it but it has a distinctive song. 50 years on from my "youth", I still use the grey warbler as an accurate weather forecaster.
Would you know a grey warbler if you saw one?
