More on priests and confessionals

From The Panel, 4:27 pm on 19 June 2018

We continue the discussion from yesterday about Australian states looking to require Roman Catholic priests to tell police about sex crimes that are confessed to them.

Many in the church have made it clear they won't abide by the rules and break their sacred oath, even if charged a fine.

We clarify what the rules are now regarding obligations to tell police about crimes and ask the panelists where they stand on this issue.
