Airspace around Wellington Airport was closed for 40 minutes last after a drone was seen dangerously close the runway. Instances like this are being reported more and more.
Tim Boyle, General Manager of Air Traffic Services at Airways New Zealand, says there could "catastrophic consequences" if a drone was hit by a plane.
He joins the the Panel to discuss whether specific regulations are needed to control drone use.
