The Green Party has introduced a bill to tackle several aspects of electoral reform. Part of it proposing banning foreign donations to political parties, but it also looks at reducing the proportion of votes a party has to win to get into Parliament to 4 percent. We ask Former United Future leader Peter Dunne whether he believes we have the MMP threshold right. It's an industry that earns $39 billion a year but the tourism industry is finding it hard employ workers. MBIE is predicting a 27 percent increase in the number of jobs in the tourism sector in New Zealand in the next 3 years, but it seems the work isn't attractive, especially to young people. Tourism Industry Aoteroa Chief Eexcutive Chris Roberts explains what the problem is. Wellington beaches may soon be smoke and vape-free if city councillors pass a proposed plan to ban smoking along the coast. It's part of the council's commitment to having no more than 5 percent of people smoking by 2025, but is it going too far? The panelists share their thoughts.
