Vertical farming

As our cities grow and our land is swallowed up by real estate, farmers are turning to other, more sustainable ways to produce veges and fruit.

In our biggest city, the idea of vertical farming has taken hold. Growing produce in high-rises, warehouses or shipping containers could solve the problem.

Mixing city and farm is popular overseas where demand in fresh, local goods expands as farmland shrinks.
