Monday 5 October: The Infinite Monkey Cage USA Tour #1 of 4
The BBC’s award-winning radio science/comedy show The Infinite Monkey Cage has transported itself to the USA bringing its unique brand of witty, irreverent science chat to an American audience for the first time. In the first of four programmes Professor Brian Cox and comedian Robin Ince take to the stage in New York, to ask the question: is science a force for good or evil? They are joined on stage by Bill Nye the Science Guy, cosmologist Janna Levin, actor Tim Daly and comedian Lisa Lampanelli.
Tuesday 6 October: Wall in the Head
Comedian Henning Wehn investigates how successful unification has been between East and West Germany.It’s been over 25 years since the reunification between East and West Germany after the Berlin Wall fell in November 1989. While the economies of the East and West have moved closer, the psychological gulf has remained, with some even saying it has widened. Many Germans still speak of the “Mauer im Kopf”, meaning the “wall in the head”; a catchphrase developed in Germany that refers to the invisible cultural and mental divide that still exists between the East and the West and the stereotypes persist.
Wednesday 7 October: The War The World Needs To Remember #1 of 2
BBC's Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucette presents a documentary recounting the experiences of combatants, civilians, and others amid a seemingly endless struggle that, like the First World War before it, quickly came to epitomise the futility and immense suffering of war. We hear from the former soldiers of both sides, and some of their relatives, and learn about some of the personal consequence that the call to arms has had upon them.

In the second part of The War The World Needs To Remember, the BBC's Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucette looks at those political ramifications of the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s with a panel of specialists to consider the Iran-Iraq war’s longer term legacies for the region and the international order.
