Naked Bus faces liquidation

Go-Bus Transport has made an application to place Naked Bus into liquidation

Neither the lawyer acting for Go-Bus, Tim Burtenshaw, nor the chief executive of Naked Bus, Hamish Nuttall, would answer any questions about the application.

It has been reported the application relates to unpaid debts.

A public notice in today's New Zealand Herald said the application was made on 12 August, and will be heard at the High Court in Auckland on 25 September.

Naked Bus has been offering cheap seats on buses for as low as $1 each.

The company was acquired by ManaBus dot com in May, which is owned by Souter Holdings.
