Hundreds of mourners have farewelled a young New Zealand mother bashed to death on the Gold Coast last week.
Tara Brown, who was 24, died after she was run off the road and bashed while she lay trapped in the wreckage.
Her former partner, Lionel Patea, was charged with murder and appeared in court yesterday.
In an hour-long service at Southport Church of Christ, her aunt said her death had challenged friends and relations to make the world a safer place for children.
