A man has been charged with dangerous driving after a crash in West Auckland today that involved cars, a bus and a truck.
Police said a Nissan Primera was initially spotted driving at high speed in Henderson at lunchtime, but was then lost in heavy traffic.
Shortly afterwards, a patrol car found the five-car crash on Central Park Drive.
Police said the driver of the Primera was standing up in the crashed car, and told them he hadn't seen them, and was running late for a funeral.
The 22-year old man has also been charged with breach of bail and will appear at Waitakere District Court tomorrow.
