All southbound lanes on Auckland's Southern Motorway around the Ellerslie Penrose interchange are now open after a large campervan hit an overbridge.
The motorhome damaged the Penrose Road overbridge and scattered dangerous debris across the motorway.
Police earlier closed all the lanes heading south.
Police said work was continuing to assess the damage done to the overbridge.
The campervan driver continued driving after hitting the overbridge, and still has not been found.
