The police in Auckland are referring the mystery disappearance of a student after a night out on the town to the Coroner.
Mandeep Singh was seen by friends leaving the Bungalow 8 bar in the Viaduct area early on Sunday morning.
Police divers have now finished their major search of the water and have no further lines of enquiry.
They said they now knew Mr Singh was seen on a pier at Queens Wharf an hour after he left the bar, and he was alone.
The police said his disappearance would not be treated as suspicious unless new information was received.
