Two overdue books - borrowed more than 50 years ago from a library in the US state of Oregon - have finally been returned.
The books, Basic Principles of Speech, and Preface to Critical Reading, were placed in the State University Library book drop in Portland last week.
They were both checked out in January 1963.
The library said the identity of whoever has had them for so long may never be known.
