A law firm in Nelson is aiming to attract new recruits by offering money towards the cost of a new home.
The legal director of C and F, Andrew Shaw, said it was offering $25,000 to each of two new employees, to help them put a deposit on a house.
Mr Shaw said it was no secret housing in places like Auckland was increasingly out of reach for many, and this was a way of highlighting opportunities outside the main centres.
He said the money would be paid once an unconditional offer on a house is confirmed, and the successful applicants will be bonded to the firm for five years.
