Police to keep a close eye on rugby fans

Police say people planning to watch tomorrow's Rugby World Cup final at a bar should have a plan for how to get home afterwards.

The All Blacks will look to defend their title against the Wallabies when the game kicks off at 5am.

Auckland police have been refocusing deployments, particularly around bars where large crowds will be gathering to watch.

Inspector Gary Davy said police were preparing for any post-match rowdiness, but he was hoping people will be in a good mood.
