A 28-year-old man who was assaulted outside a central Auckland bar is in a stable condition after having surgery for a head injury.
The foreign national was attacked about 5.20am yesterday, shortly after he was ejected from Lenin Bar in the Viaduct.
A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged with injuring with intent to injure, and will appear in the Auckland District Court on Thursday.
Police say they are still investigating the incident and are searching for a second man in relation to the incident.
