Six people were injured, one critically, when a speeding car ploughed into a group of pedestrians in south Auckland early this morning.
The crash happened after 3am on Dominion Road in Papakura.
The car was being driven at speed and hit several people standing next to their vehicle.
Five people were taken to hospital, one with critical injuries and another in a serious condition, St Johns Ambulance said.
Alcohol and speed were a factor in the crash, police believed.
