AUT lecturers call off industrial action

Lecturers at Auckland University of Technology have ended industrial action, which saw them withhold students' grades.

The Tertiary Education Union has been asking for a 2.5 percent pay boost next year, and another the following year.

Branch president John Prince said AUT had offered staff an improved salary deal, so it was calling off the action early.

He said students would now get their grades on time, and staff would resume their normal duties.
