Police are hunting for a man who stole more than $10,000 in a burglary in Wellington's central business district.
They say last night a man in his 30s or 40s was seen breaking into one business on Lambton Quay and taking more than $10,000 worth of collectable bank notes from the till.
They're asking anyone with information about the man's identity to come forward.
The police say there have been eight burglaries in businesses in central Wellington this week.
