The number of overseas students choosing to study in New Zealand rose by 13 percent in the first eight months of this year, compared to the same period last year.
After a dramatic fall in the number choosing to study in Canterbury following the earthquakes, that region has bounced back with a 17 percent increase.
International education is the country's fifth largest export industry.
