A man who was fatally stabbed in Auckland yesterday has been named as Nathan Matai Pukeroa, of Whangarei.
The attack happened on Renton Road in Mount Albert just after midnight on Thursday morning.
Police said there was an altercation involving Mr Pukeroa, 24, and others who were visiting the property.
Police were asking people who live nearby to search their properties for sharp objects or potential weapons.
