Two arrested after crime spree in Bay of Islands

Northland police have arrested two people for what they describe as a destructive crime spree in the Bay of Islands.

An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman have been charged with 14 counts of burglary, theft, arson and intentional damage.

Two local schools have been targeted recently by thieves.

Kawakawa Primary School was repeatedly burgled and had two vehicles stolen and burnt out.

Bay of Islands College also had a vehicle stolen which was then used in other crimes in Russell and Ohaeawai.

Police are still looking for two others.
