A woman will appear in the Christchurch District Court today following a stabbing at a house in the suburb of Hornby yesterday.
Ambulance and the police were called to the house after receiving a call that a man had been stabbed at the address.
A 46-year-old man was taken to Christchurch Hospital by ambulance where he underwent surgery overnight and was now in a stable condition.
Police said the man was in a relationship with the 48-year-old arrested woman and the incident was a case of domestic violence.
