The Ministry of Youth Development is cutting its staff from 25 to 17.
Plans to reorganise the ministry were announced last month and it today announced it was dropping seven jobs.
The new structure will have a team based in Wellington and four regional community investment advisors in Auckland, Rotorua, Wellington and Christchurch.
A spokesperson says they're working with affected staff to find them jobs in the Ministry of Social Development, the government or other non-government roles.
