Two people were injured when their car collided with a logging truck on State Highway 25 near Whiritoa north of Waihi at 4.30pm today.
The car's driver has serious arm injuries, and a 20-year-old Whitianga man has moderate shoulder and neck injuries.
Both were taken to hospital by helicopter.
A rescue helicopter pilot said the vehicles collided on a bend, causing the truck to roll and lose its load.
