Waikato man faces fraud charges after company goes into receivership

6:26 pm on 14 January 2016

A Waikato man whose company selling dairy and manuka honey products went into receivership owing over $1 million is facing 11 charges of fraud.

The Serious Fraud Office said 54-year-old Trevor James Lock made false statements, forged copies of bank statements and dishonestly used other documents.

SFO director Julie Read said his offending took place over a number of years, was premeditated and repetitive.

Mr Lock has been remanded on bail and will next appear in the Hamilton District Court at the end of the month.

His company Nubiotics was placed in receivership in August 2014 but he still has another company, Nu-Brands, in operation.
