One side of State Highway One at Otaihanga on the Kapiti Coast is closed after a truck rolled over early this morning, while a similar accident further north has blocked the Waikato Expressway.
The NZTA said the truck that crashed at Otaihanga was still blocking the left hand lane, northbound at the Otaihanga roundabout.
A crane is working on righting the truck's containers.
Meanwhile, a truck on the Waikato Expressway in the vicinity of Springhill Road rolled shortly before 6am today, blocking both lanes.
There were no injuries, but police have warned the road will be closed southbound between Mercer and Meremere until about 10am.
