Part of State Highway 6 from Haast to Lake Wanaka on the West Coast is blocked due to flooding.
The road is closed from from Makarora township to Pipson Creek and there is no detour in place.
Heavy rain fell in the area overnight but the severe weather warning for the area has since been lifted.
