The police have charged an 18-year-old with the murder of Kawerau man.
The victim, who was 23, died at Hall Street property in the Bay of Plenty town.
The arrested man was due to appear in the Whakatane District Court this afternoon.
Police wanted to hear from anyone who noticed suspicious activity around Hall Street between 11pm on Tuesday night and 1.30am on Wednesday.
