A woman was trapped in her car for half an hour following a crash in Southland last night.
The police say the crash between a car and another vehicle towing a horsefloat happened on the Glencoe Highway, near Mataura and south of Gore, about 7.30am.
The horsefloat broke free on impact and the driver of the vehicle towing it was trapped in the car and had to be freed by emergency services.
She was flown by helicopter to hospital in Invercargill with serious leg injuries.
