Twitter says it will keep its 140-character limit for tweets.
Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey said it was a good constraint and allowed for what he called of-the-moment brevity.
Technology news website Re/code reported in January that Twitter was building a new feature allowing users to post tweets as long as 10,000 characters.
Twitter never confirmed that.
