A person who was critically injured in an assault in Northland is now in a stable condition in hospital.
St John Ambulance said staff went to an incident in Ruakaka about 10pm last night.
Two people were taken to Whangarei Hospital, one in a critical condition.
A hospital spokesperson said that person's condition had now improved.
The police have not released any further information on the incident.
