Police have named the forestry worker who died yesterday after a tree fell on him in Hawke's Bay.
He was Blair David Palmer, aged 53, from Napier.
Mr Palmer was working in the Pohukura Forest operated by Pan Pac Forest Products.
Police said he was an experienced forestry foreman.
Worksafe is investigating the death, which has also been referred to the coroner.
