Power has been restored to more than 4000 Dunedin homes in the Green Island area.
Electricity to the area was cut about 11.45am when a large tree fell on a high-voltage power line.
Lines company Aurora Energy said customers in Burnside, Caversham, Concord, Abbotsford, Green Island, Sunnyvale, Fairfield, Waldronville and Ocean View were affected.
