An accident that saw a man crushed to death between cars did not occur as a result of work and will not be investigated by Worksafe NZ.
Emergency services were called to an address on Monteith Crescent in the suburb of Remuera shortly after 9am today.
Police said the man was crushed between two cars when one rolled forward off a trailer.
Worksafe was initially called out to the scene, but a spokesperson said after making initial inquiries it found the incident was not a result of work.
It said it will not be investigating.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
